   Captain Jeffrey
R Stone is an Accredited Marine Surveyor with a lifetime commitment in the maritime field. Servicing Rhode Island, Connecticut,
Massachusetts and Maine, I provide marine surveys for yachts and commercial vessels in all material types: Wood,
cold molded (wood epoxy), fiberglass, composite, aluminum and steel. I have extensive service and experience on
vessels from 26' up to 160' and up to 500 GRT
Azimuth Marine Survey provides reliable, professional, and responsive service to our clients.

Non destructive testing is used through out the survey process unless otherwise requested.
Non-destructive test equipment include the following:
  - Thermal Imaging Camera - for use on hull, deck, cored structural components,
electrical equipment, and engines - provides a visual image in infrared. The image can identify areas of moisture intrusion
and laminate voids in FRP and Carbon layups. Osmotic blisters that have retreated and are not visually detectable can
also be seen. Appropriate and inappropriate hot or cool spots in mechanical systems (engine and running gear)
and electrical components (switch panels battery chargers, power cords and etc.) can be made visible
in infrared. See the representative photos below. The first two sample surveys also contain thermal images.

 - Percussion Sounding Hammer- The first and most universally useful
tool for finding soft or separated laminates, and voids in cored and solid FRP and
                           carbon structural components
  - Moisture Meter - helps
to define areas of moisture intrusion to cored laminates
  - Infrared
Temperature Gun - measures surface temperatures on engine and electrical components
 - Borescope
                           - Flexible tube remote imaging camera for viewing otherwise inaccessible places: wooden vessel
frames, under engine pans and mast steps, hull deck joints, and etc.

The mottled dark orange on the image to the left shows the pattern of moisture intrusion to the port quarter
